Film Title:
Annie
Year:
1982
Director:
John Huston
Actors:
Albert Finney, Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters, Aileen Quinn et al
Plot:
Comedy-drama.  Orphan struggles to find good folks to lurve.
Review:
Slick, funny and fast-paced, this is practically perfect BUT I personally find the final chase sequence a bit unnecessary and although he does a fine job, the casting of Geoffrey Holder as an Indian manservant is bizarre to say the least.  Extra points for the jokes, dance routines, great songs, the cute dog, Albert Finney, Carol Burnett, the elephant and the frocks.
Stars:
Four
