Film Title:
High Society
Year:
1956
Director:
Charles Walters
Actors:
Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Celeste Hom, Louis Armstrong and his band
Plot:
Musical rom-com.  She's snotty, he's boho: it takes Sinatra's bad influence to melt her stubborn heart.
Review:
One of the world's most perfect movies.  Fabulous music, ridiculous laughs, mouth-watering frocks, great songs, silliest situation and yet, a little tinge as Celeste Holms watches the man she loves romancing Grace Kelly.  Extra points for everything, no points missing.  So light, so deft, the plot and direction crystal clear... they just don't make them like this very often.
Stars:
Five
