Film Title:
Legally Blonde
Year:
2001
Director:
Robert Luketic
Actors:
Reese Witherspoon, Luke Wilson, Selma Blair, Jennifer Coolidge
Plot:
Rom-com.  Dumped blonde goes to uni and stages a courtroom rampage to prove she's not as thick as she acts.
Review:
Reese Witherspoon does this brilliantly - she's stoopid, sassy and cute in every way, but especially so wearing her little bunny girl outfit to the computer shop.  Jennifer Coolidge is a delight from first nail to last delivery boy and everyone else fills up the spaces with gusto.  The story is predictable but quirky enough to be genuinely funny and I know at least one solicitor who found the whole film a revelation.  (Gulp!)  Extra points for the oceans of pink, the ugly li'l dawg, the cute leading man, a funny sidekick and even some decent outfits.  Make tea during the nauseating podium speech at the end and don't even THINK of seeing the sequel.
