Review: |
Faultless comedy with a few tears and a romantic story thrown in for good measure. It's PJ Hogan so naturally it's quirky and features bubblegum pop, but that's what we love him for, no? If you liked his other movies Muriel's Wedding and My Best Friend's Wedding, you'll love this. Extra points for cameos from Barry Manilow and Julie Andrews and a gloriously camp ending. The gags are great, the cast truly glittering and the whole thing is original and offbeat... just how I like my films. A breath of fresh air. Perfect. |
